Why now?
Recently amid food and the joy of a family get-together, I got some advice to re-kindle my dead love for writing: to pass time, to keep the mind working, and to change things in my dreary life now. I dunno. I felt so uninspired. So dry. Sooo normal.
But I kept the advice, pondered and thought. I went about my usual youtube surfing. Lo! and behold! My inspiration. Although food, history and travel are things I'd like to write about too, spirituality has started the fire of the muse in me. I've been following a youtube channel since 2011 called Spirit Science. It's talks about New Age Spirituality so I take it with a grain of salt. Sometimes truckloads when it comes to aliens and other weird stuff. But the spirituality is very basic: trying to achieve ascension through the goodness of the heart.
In this case, I'd like to focus my understanding and comparison of New Age and Qabalah to Carmelite Christian Mystical Theology. This will challenge me to read more of Our Holy Parents Sts Teresa of Jesus and John of the Cross. I'd like to know more about the Carmelite Saints and their works even Bro. Lawrence of the Resurrection, who was never canonized.
I will be following the journey of the Fool. Fool? Hung-hang? Aba, luko. But this is the classic Hero-in-the-works story outlined by the Major Arcana of the Tarot. Oooops. Tarot. Bad yan. Demonyo. Wag na, nak. But we will not use the Tarot for divination, only to tell the story. Wag na kasi magpunta sa Quiapo. Fake. Wala nang mystical energy yung cards dahil napabayaan na ng husto. Back to the Fool, in the Patch Tarot launched by Spirit Science last year, they changed him to a Child. The iconography is the same but a change still. I will follow the journey of the old Fool that I am now to a better Child in the journey to find my Hidden God. Very Carmelite pa din.
I hope I get to share the ideals of the Carmelites din: climbing the Holy Mountain to reach Christ the Summit and reference it to the journey of the Fool.
The main dilemma: I don't leave my house because I'm sick. Looking for books and funds is my burden. Help. Hopefully, I can be cleared for work soon, to fuel this endeavor. Second, I don't have the Patch Tarot yet. Medyo mahirap magaral ng iconography ng online lang. $54. Need work soon. For now I will go with the classic Fool archetypes and hope for the best.
